Our Story

A tavern with character

Hoot & Ole's Smittys Tavern grew out of a simple idea: build a place where people actually want to linger. Not a place you pop into for a quick drink and leave — a place that feels like the living room of the neighborhood.

We opened our doors in Austin with one rule — treat every guest like they've walked in every day. That means remembering your name, pouring your drink right, and making sure your food arrives hot and honest.
